Drinking and Driving.

Throughout our lives, we have always been told, if you are drinking find another means of getting home instead of you driving. It seems people either people don't want to listen, don't realize, or think it won't happen to me. There are so many people who have died by someone who got behind the wheel of a car after they have been drinking. Not only has it been a car, but any type of vehicle.
I found it; shocking, interesting, and upsetting of how many videos on youtube display this. There are hundreds upon thousands of videos that provide as PSA's or even just a topic of a video, involving those who have decided to drink and drive and accidents that have occurred. I found two videos to show, but i have to warn you the second one is extremely hard to watch. Although it is very hard to see, it shows how dangerous and deadly such a choice can be.
The first video is similar to a few that i have noticed, and provides excuses people use to get behind the wheel. Those saying they can handle their alcohol, it was only a few, etc.
Drinking & Driving PSA: Still Making Excuses?

This second one is very graphic, so some of you might not want to watch it. What happens in the video involves two seperate groups of people; one a family playing soccer in their backyard, and the other a group of men playing soccer and celebrating. The men go out drinking after their game, and one of them after drinking decides to drive home. The driver is not paying attention and loses control of his car, into the backyard of the family, the young boy playing soccer is killed. This is very graphic, and definitely hits to your heart of how serious this can be. No matter where you are, who you are, how much you have to drink, this can happen.
Don't Drink & Drive. (GRAPHIC)

One last thing i can mention, involves a story of a friends sister that happened about 2 months ago where i live. I didn't find much about the story until i read the article of it online. The young girl was with her boyfriend, they had been drinking and decided to go out riding on an ATV. The exact details of where they were and where they could be going are unknown to me, but the end result was devastating. Her boyfriend lost control of the ATV he was driving with her as a passenger, and resulted with her seriously injured. She had spent about a week at the hospital in coma, she passed away by the end of the week.

Whenever you are out with friends drinking, always have a means of getting back safely whether it be a designated driver, a bus, taxi, train, etc. They are choices you can make to be safe. Make the right one.
